An investigation into the possible embezzlement of funds from the Children’s Bible Fellowship in Carmel began in July of 2017 after CBF officials discovered and reported the larceny.
The investigation revealed that during David Eldredge’s approximately 12-year tenure as the Chief Financial Officer of CBF, he stole more than $100,000, police said. The funds were redirected to pay for Eldridge’s personal expenses.
State Police arrested Eldredge on Monday, Feb. 5 and charged him with grand larceny in the second degree, a Class C felony.
Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues, police said.
Eldredge, who had relocated from the area to Redgranite, Wisconsin, was arraigned before the town of Carmel Court and released on his own recognizance to reappear on Feb. 26
The State Police were assisted by the Waushara County (Wisconsin) Sheriff’s Office
